this mask, ribbon fan and the hard golden fan were the props for our dance item 'soulz'.
each and every one of the dancers were suppose to come up with their own design to be painted on the mask to portray their feelings of how they had grown over the times in this dance group. but no one actually kept to that i guess, we started coloring and designing just like how we would do for any normal art piece. hahsmy mask! hand drawn by Rong wei!
he volunteered to do it for me without any grumblings lo plus i'm so fussy with the designs. =x then i wanted to give him a treat, but he refused to accept it. and my classmates were like : " Rongwei! ask Angie pay u for helping her out!" then i, " ya lo ya lo, i treat u la" but the shy boy keeps nvm-ing. Lol. and he adds on that he could include the pictures to be part of his portfolio in future :)
as i was in a hurry to get the mask ready, he stood up late to apply the paint on within a night. and tadas!
not bad right? after the class saw what he did to my mask, everyone's calling him artistic guy xD
wiing commented that the drawings looked very masculine. i dont think so lo! the lotus looks feminine k. and i find the overall very oriental :) thanks so much again, Rongwei! though i know u wun be drop by my blog. hahs

the lips. unpainted lips look scarily pale with the flashlight x.x
tink i would scare my mum or brother off their wits if i wore this around in the middle of the night. hahaha. seems so hideous and unrecognizable with the mask on.
on the day itself, few hours before we head down ngee ann city for the performance, i added on the gold glitters. i ended up with gold lips as well cos the other dancers used black and red. wanted to be different. hehethere's one thing i couldnt agree more, the mask is very un-photogenic cos, all of them actually look much much better in real!

din hav the chance to take a picture of all the other masks as time was rather packed. they ought to be showed off you see. veryvery well done that even Max, our other instructor said that we should all become artists rather then dancers! HAHAS`
