After rounds of rigorous dance rehearsals the past four months, it was time for the twelve of us to start off with the first performance of our anti-drug dance item at Fort Canning's Legend.
I felt it was good to showcase our performance to a large audience beforehand so as to get ourselves prepared for danceworks (=
uh-oh. obviously wrong timings! =x
some PBL event was on for professors & lecturers around the world and after our performance, some of them actually came telling us some pleasant remarks for motivation!

------11th Mar 07 - Competition Day
The Painkillers met up early outside NAC to had our blockings familiarized on stage. There was a little trace of edginess in me after viewing the dances of other groups as most of their items were marvelous in both the choreography, dynamics of the dance & so on... *ohnos*
and so, we did some last min touching, warming up and proceeded...
the makeup artists and hairstylists we had for the day!

I think my face has a problem absorbing the white paint. I had a second round of touch up but stil, it turned out having a paler, nuder look compared to the pure white overall the rest had =S Maybe that explains why my usual makeups fades off that readily. hmmm

notice the splats of green paint we added on to our shoes xD wiwi commented that one of the random designs was not bad, unfortunately. it wasnt mine. lol
i know we may come across like complete geisha-like weirdos to you in the above pics =x but its understood that shots taken while u'r dancing or singing seldom turn out nice if u noticed. hurhurs.
Ohyaohya! im so proud of our comments. weeee *twirls around* and i tink it's so cool la. my first time receiving comments from judges for a competition ok. hehs.

As soon as all 16 groups had had their turn up on stage, it was some headache time for the panel of judges while the emcee came up with some games for entertainment (x
We got the bdae dancer, Azy on stage and made used of all the items & props from our possession to turn her into an energizer battery. hee. CUTE
The aftermath of danceworks were filled with tears of joy. It was a great sense of fulfillment. Everything was worthwhile despite the frequent bruises appearing all over our body, lack of sleep, jelly-ish legs, aches & dirt we girls endured. lolwe brought glory to our school as we were awarded with the best costume award ( obviously who would thought of wearing a 'cheongsum' for a contemp, hiphop dance besides our wise instructor :Pp ) & the teachers were proud of our achievement. cheeerios! Not a bad start for modern dance IG eh [:
We couldnt bare to to leave Shanti T.T she had been like an ideal instructor to most of us, we each received a big huggy from her & individual words of encouragements as well :DD All of us are really thankful for all shan had done this while. LOTSA HEARTS, KISSES & MISSES TO YOU!
as for us, the dancers... daily gatherings for practices had formed a stronger bond between us. i guess we all love each truckloads too =))

I wonder why lobster's bag has such a flashing beam of light across & i find that our dear chairman looked really adorable here! haha!
the group of us then headed for a meal together, strolled around & hung out at heeren.
we actually got told off by the security after climbing all over the rocks and posing with it. lol, and all along i thought it was for photo taking purposes!
then we settled down at the empty area somewhere around heeren's carpark for some light games, few amusing forfeits and chats. hee!
Life after danceworks was more of resting and relaxing but we were so used to meeting each other every single day to dance together and it felt so different having a break for 2 weeks. lalalas :PAnd now, we'r gonna get together and have another self dance practice for the upcoming SLA fiesta!
